Awards

  At the end of each semester, students will be honored for academic achievement, citizenship and effort. Every student is entitled to earn:

• Proud Lions Award: In each classroom, the teacher will choose one student to receive this award for his/her academic improvement. The criteria used should include daily assignments, homework, and test scores, including standards mastery.

• Perfect Attendance: The student will have been in attendance every day during the quarter. This award also takes tardies into account, the students may not be tardy during the quarter in order to receive this award. 

• Student of the Month: This award is awarded monthly. One student is selected per classroom. The student who earns this award must exhibit the ABC’s (Academics, Behavior, and Citizenship) including self-discipline, a positive attitude towards classmates, work and teachers, have acceptable behavior on the playground and in all areas of the school, be punctual in arriving and in presenting class work and homework, demonstrates trustworthiness, honesty, responsible behavior, and be willing to help classmates.
