All current textbooks/teacher editions shall be checked out from the librarian/media assistant during the week preceding or the first week of school. Teachers will not remove textbooks or other materials from the Media Center until the librarian/media assistant has checked them out. All teachers should plan ahead and make arrangements for the use/check out of equipment with the librarian/media assistant. Materials given out at the beginning of the year will not be returned to the librarian/media assistant until instructed to do so. Teachers unable to locate books and materials checked out are responsible for them. Student textbooks will be checked out to each student and they will be responsible for returning assigned textbooks in good condition at the end of the year. Failure to do so must be reported to the Media Center. A letter will be sent to parents requesting payment for missing textbooks and/or library books.
