Keys & Doors

     All teachers will be issued a key to their classroom. Please be certain that doors are closed and locked when there is no one in the room. Also, lock the door at the close of the day.  Lost/Stolen classroom keys MUST be replaced immediately (Key Replacement Form). The teacher is responsible for the fee(s) associated with key duplication. This charge is regulated by the district and is $25.00. Depending on the key lost, costs incurred to rekey other areas (which shall not exceed the entire building) may be passed along to the staff member responsible for the key. Teachers will also be issued a key card that will open all the outer doors outfitted with a card reader. This key card DOES NOT deactivate the alarm system. The replacement cost for the key card is $50 (Lost Badge Form).

All classrooms are to be locked during the instructional day for extra security measures.  Staff should only enter classrooms on a need-only basis.  No staff shall enter a class for purposes that interrupt classroom instruction and learning to engage in personal business.  

NEVER! Prop outside doors open!  This is a major safety violation.
