All students attending NYU Global Programs are automatically enrolled in GeoBlue Health Insurance at no additional cost. The GeoBlue plan covers participants anywhere in the world except for students’ home countries, with a few exceptions. It provides 100% coverage for medically necessary care, with no deductibles or co-payments, up to a maximum of $100,000.00. Dental care, eye exams, preventive medicine (e.g., medical certificate for the gym) and some other items and services may not be covered by GeoBlue.
Students must pay for medication out of pocket, but can submit a request to be reimbursed via an online claim form. The campus nurse and the Office of Student Life can help students by showing them how to file a medication reimbursement claim. Please visit the GeoBlue website to register, print your insurance card, fill out a claim form, and review the conditions of coverage.
To set up an appointment with a general practitioner, specialist, or clinic through GeoBlue, please reach out to the campus nurse. Students can also contact GeoBlue directly at tel. +1-610-254-8771.
