At NYU Florence, students can take part in a variety of wellness and sports activities. Throughout the semester, the Office of Student Life, in collaboration with the Health Center, offers several initiatives aimed at promoting mental and physical well-being. These include mindfulness sessions, forest bathing, Sexual Health Week, HIV testing, and more. In addition, the Office of Student Life organizes sports-related activities during the semester, such as weekly yoga and fitness classes on campus. All these activities will be posted and promoted through the Florence Flyer and the NYU Florence Event Calendar.
NYU Florence students have access to the campus sports field and outdoor exercise area, which can be used during opening hours on a first-come, first-served basis or booked through the Office of Student Life. Sports equipment is also available upon request at Villa Natalia, where students can sign it out by filling out a form.
All NYU Florence housing facilities — on-campus residence as well as the S4 and Il Santo Residence Halls — have gyms available for student use. Students who are staying in a homestay can use the On-campus gym 7 days a week, from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. These are unstaffed facilities, and students are responsible for using them appropriately.
