Digital Studio
The NYU Florence Digital Studio serves as the campus hub for multimedia production and post-production, instructional technology support and the coordination of digital communications.
Located on the third floor of Villa Ulivi, the Digital Studio provides dedicated multimedia workstations available for faculty and student use. Students may check out equipment (digital cameras, microphones, tripods, etc.) for academic projects. There is a small recording studio for audio and video production available for booking.
The Digital Studio also serves as an instructional space for consultation, training, and technical services.
The FDS provides consultation, training, and tools for:
Multimedia capture, production, and online publication (audio, video, images)
Video equipment operation and maintenance
Instructional design and technology, including pedagogical approaches to “Blended” or “Flipped” learning
Digital communications strategies (digital asset management, websites and online exhibitions, social media)

Equipment
A wide range of equipment is available for students and faculty working on academic projects, including DSLR cameras, tripods, audio recorders and VR 360 recording gear. Consult the form below for additional information and to make a request:
Multimedia Production
The Digital Studio provides video coverage for a wide range of academic events on campus, including the Collection and Garden of Villa La Pietra. Visit the NYU Florence YouTube Channel for a full listing of available video productions.
Print & Scanning Facilities (Photo Courses Only)
Print and scanning facilities are available for students enrolled in photography courses. Please contact your instructor for further information.
Recording Studio
The FDS has a small sound-proofed recording studio suitable for recording short video clips, audio voiceovers. Write to florence.digitialstudio@nyu.edu to book this facility.
