Hi everyone! My name is Yashvarya Goyal (I go by Yashi), and I’m currently a junior majoring in Economics with a minor in Politics. My academic interests lie at the intersection of economic development and climate tech, particularly how public policy and venture capital can come together to build more sustainable futures.
As your Intercultural Learning Fellow, I’m excited to support your transition and help foster a meaningful, enriching semester abroad. As an international student who also studied abroad in London during my first year, I understand both the challenges and the joys of adapting to a new country. I’m deeply committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
Outside of academics, I’m always eager to cross a new city off my list (ideally somewhere with a beach). I have a soft spot for collecting charmingly useless trinkets, postcards, and vintage photo booth strips. I can’t wait to meet everyone and explore Florence together. Please don’t hesitate to say hi! :)
Ciao! I’m Imanie Jeter, a nursing major with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I’m so excited to join the NYU Florence community as an Intercultural Learning Fellow! I applied to this fellowship because I’m passionate about exploring healthcare through a global lens—especially how equity, privilege, and access to care differ between the U.S. and other countries. As someone deeply committed to inclusion and belonging in medical spaces, I’m eager to connect with others around these important conversations.
Outside of academics, you’ll usually find me cooking, cheering with my team, lifting weights, or hunting down the best eats in NYC. I can’t wait to grow, learn, and build community together in Florence!
