Mills College at Northeastern University places a strong emphasis on ensuring that appropriate sources of information and personnel are clearly identified and accessible to guide each candidate's success at meeting program requirements. We believe that providing clear guidance and support throughout the educational journey is crucial for the success and development of our future educators.

Upon admission, students attend an Admitted Student Orientation Session that outlines their academic journey at Mills College at Northeastern University, along with the support resources available to them. We are continuously working to develop a systematic approach to monitor the progress of each candidate enrolled in our credentialing programs. To achieve this, we will provide a comprehensive set of resources, such as handbooks, Mills College at Northeastern School of Education webpages, credentialing checklists, and Individual Learning Plans (when necessary). These resources detail the program requirements and outline the steps necessary for candidates to successfully complete their respective programs.

In addition to these resources, with the support of Northeastern University’s deep technological resources, we will develop a database system that will serve as a central hub for candidates to access essential information about their program requirements, course schedules, and other pertinent resources. This will include a digital tool where candidates can track their progress, securely submit credential paperwork, and receive feedback from supervisors, mentors, and instructors.

At Mills College at Northeastern University, we also understand the importance of personalized guidance and support. Regularly scheduled meetings with program chairs and administrators to ensure that candidates receive ongoing feedback on their progress and guidance, addressing potential challenges in a timely manner.

Through our commitment to providing clear guidance and access to essential resources, Mills College at Northeastern University aims to create a supportive environment that empowers our candidates to excel in their credentialing programs and, subsequently, as professionals.
