The institution actively involves faculty, instructional personnel, and relevant stakeholders in the organization, coordination, and decision making for all educator preparation programs.

The faculty, instructional personnel, and stakeholders in the credential programs in the School of Education at Mills College at Northeastern University participate in various ways organizing, coordinating, and participating in the general decision-making processes for all programs and, particularly, for each teacher, special education, and administrative services program. The individual responsibilities for leaders, faculty, instructors, staff, and stakeholders are described in this Table of Program Personnel. The coordination of responsibilities and functions associated with each position listed in the Table of Program Personnel are decided in coordination between Program Directors and the Dean (or successor office).  

 

Faculty Meetings. Credential program Chairs, Directors, and the Academic Coordinator & Credential Analyst meet at monthly Faculty Meetings to discuss student advising and concerns, student data assessment, CTC alignment and news items, and coursework. [Draft agenda] 

 

Credential Analyst Meetings. The Credential Analyst meets with Credential Program Directors biweekly to discuss student advising and concerns, student assessment data, CCTC alignment and news items, and coursework by program. [Draft agenda] 

   

Multiple and Single Subject Supervisory Meetings. The Field Coordinator meets with Program Supervisors on a monthly basis. The Field Coordinator communicates with Site Supervisors at least twice a term. [Draft agenda] 

 

Administrative Services Credential (ASC) Supervisory Meetings. The ASC Program Director meets with Program Supervisors and District-Employed Supervisors on a monthly basis. [Draft agenda] 

 

Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Supervisory Meetings. The ECSE Program Director meets with Program Supervisors and Cooperating Teachers on a monthly basis. [Draft agenda] 

 

Triad meetings. Program Supervisors, Cooperating Teachers, and candidates in fieldwork experiences meet twice per semester. [Draft agenda] 

 

Advisory Committees. Committee members, including representatives from districts, Program Supervisors, faculty members, and other community-based partners meet biannually. [Draft agenda]
