We are proud to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, having already achieved the Bronze: Rights Committed award. This recognition reflects our commitment to placing the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) at the heart of everything we do.
Our journey towards becoming a Silver: Rights Aware school is well underway. Through this process, we are deepening our understanding and practice of children’s rights across the whole school community. Pupils are learning about their rights, how to respect the rights of others, and how they can be active, responsible global citizens.
Being part of the Rights Respecting Schools Award supports us in creating a positive, inclusive school culture where every child feels safe, valued, and heard. It encourages pupil voice, strengthens relationships, and promotes a sense of belonging and respect throughout our school.
We’re excited to continue this journey and look forward to achieving our Silver award as we further embed the values of equality, dignity, respect, and participation in our day-to-day learning and school life.
