Choosing subjects is an important part of every pupil’s learning journey, helping to shape future pathways into further education, training, or employment. we support pupils to make informed and realistic choices that reflect their interests, strengths, and career ambitions.
As pupils move through the Broad General Education (BGE) and into the Senior Phase, they are given access to personalised guidance, course information, and support from teachers, Guidance staff, and careers advisors. We encourage open conversations between pupils, parents, and staff to ensure each young person selects a pathway that suits their goals.
Our curriculum offers a wide range of subjects at different levels, including National 3–5, Higher, and Advanced Higher, as well as vocational courses and partnership options with Lews College or other providers.
Subject choice booklets and example choice forms can be found below - please be aware the choice form is likely to change year to year.
We also hold subject choice information nights for pupils and parents to come along and speak to staff to find out more - information about these will be updated on this page and sent out via group call once dates are finalized.
