Families on certain benefits may be eligible to receive a School Clothing Grant to help with the cost of school uniforms and essential items. This support is designed to make sure that all children can come to school feeling confident, comfortable, and ready to learn.
The grant of £150 can be used to help purchase items such as:
School trousers, skirts, and shirts
School jumpers or cardigan
Footwear
PE kit
Who is eligible?
You may qualify for a Clothing Grant if you receive:
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit (without Working Tax Credit) and income below the threshold
Universal Credit (with household income under the set limit)
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
