In this story Tiny tries very hard to learn how to hug so that he can cheer up his friend.
After listening, give someone in your family a hug, just like Tiny.
Recipe- Cranberry and Chocolate Cookies
Adult help needed.
Ingredients
1 cup plain flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
110g butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups oats
1 cup dried cranberries
125g dark chocolate, chopped
Steps
Preheat oven to 180c. Line 2 baking trays with greaseproof paper.
In a medium bowl combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, bicarb soda and salt.
In an electric mixer, beat the butter, brown and white sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture.
Add oats, cranberries and chocolate chunks and mix until a stiff dough forms.
Roll the dough into balls and arrange evenly spaced on the baking tray. Press slightly to flatten.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden on the edges. Allow the cookies to cool on the tray before serving.
Craft- Fingerprint pictures
Materials
Paper
Paint or an ink pad
A pencil
Steps
Press your finger into an ink pad or paint and make pictures with your fingerprints on the paper.
Add to your artwork finer details with the pencil (if you used paint, you will need to wait for it to dry). You might like to draw with the pencil first then add the fingerprints.

Science Experiment- Making Salt Crystals
Adult help needed.
Materials
Three cups of table salt.
1L of water
Pencil
Paperclip or nail
A piece of string, cut to size.
One strong plastic or Pyrex jar.
Steps
Boil the water with the help of an adult.
Pour the water into the plastic jar. Do not use glass as it may break.
Add the salt one tablespoon at a time. Allow the salt to dissolve before you add more tablespoons.
Continue adding salt until you cannot dissolve anymore and it collects at the bottom of the jar.
Tie one end of the string around the pencil and the other end around the paperclip or nail.
Dangle the string into the saturated salt solution, so that the paperclip doesn’t touch the bottom of the jar or its sides.
Allow the jar to sit undisturbed for one week. Salt crystals should form at the top of the string.
