This week's task is to choose your favourite folk song or nursery rhyme and perform it on your virtual xylophone.
Some great easy possibilities might be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Mary Had a Little Lamb.
If you would like to challenge yourself a little more then try You Are My Sunshine or Ode To Joy.
I have added playalong videos below for you to watch and join in with.
You can even compose your own new song if you would like to.
Video yourself performing your favourites on Seesaw so that I can see you performing on your xylophone.
There are a number of ways to make your xylophone play depending on the device that you are using.:
If you have a touch screen device you can play the keys with your fingers on the screen by gently tapping the bars.
If you have a mouse you can click on each note to make it play
Another way to play is by using the number keys on your computer keyboard. The corresponding numbers for each note are written underneath each note. i.e. C = 1, D = 2 and so on.
Remember to post your own video of your special song to Seesaw CLASS!
Watch the video to learn how to make origami こぶた Kobuta. We will make them during our Meet together with Sensei..
Watch the videos below to learn the four animal names.
Take a video of you singing along with your favorite video. (with actions/gestures if possible)
4. Post the video of your singing and the picture of your origami on Seesaw.
Your task: To find and decorate a rock to add to our MWHPS rock garden
What you will need:
A rock - smooth, light coloured rocks work best.
Permanent textas (sharpies work well for this project!) or crayons,
Acrylic paint to paint a colour background on your rock(optional),
newspaper to put underneath your rock while you are working.
Steps:
Step 1. Search in your garden for a rock that is smooth and is about the size of the palm of your hand. White or light coloured rocks work best if you are using textas or crayons to decorate them.
Step 2. Carefully wash and dry your rock. Once it is dry, paint it with your background colour (optional step), otherwise leave it as a natural rock colour..
Step 3. Decide on your design for your rock. Keep it simple!
Step 4. Draw your design on your rock in pencil. Once you are happy with it, go over the outline with your black sharpie.
Step 5. Use your crayons or coloured markers to add colour to your design.
Step 6. Take a photo of your rock and post it in your Seesaw Journal.
Step 7. Bring your rock to school to add to our MWHPS rock garden.
