Task 1: Non-fiction texts - The life cycle of a chicken
Life Cycle of a Chicken- video and life cycle diagram
Where do chickens live? What do they like to eat? What do we call baby chickens?
Watch Ms Johnson read ‘Life Cycle of a Chicken'. She talks about the features of non-fiction texts and shows us the contents page, index and glossary.
Then have a go at sequencing the life cycle of a chicken. You can re-watch the video and look at the diagrams in the book to help you. We would love for you to then label each of the stages (eg. Chicken lays an egg).
