Task 1: Watch the read aloud and then fill out the story elements sheet

Then fill in the story elements acitivity with information from the book. Who were the characters? Where was the story? What happened in the story? You can either write or draw the elements of the story into each bubble.

Active learn is an online platform that provides levelled books suited for the students, we would like you to read at least one book a day and this can be accessed on www.activelearnprimary.com.au
Their log in information should be at the back of their magic words book.
Task 2: Write a card

Happy Fathers' Day!
On Sunday the 5th of September it will be Fathers' Day!
Write a special card to give to your dad or a special person in your life. Think about what things you are grateful for about you special person.
Do you like how they read to you?
Do you like how they play games with you?
Are they really funny?
After you have written you message decorate your card by colouring it in and drawing a picture.
Optional Task: Choose a colouring sheet
Pick a colouring sheet that you think your dad or special person will like and use your best colouring skills and dads favourite colours to create a beautiful picture for him.
