For this session your child will require: -
Writing Pencil
Something to write on (Scrap book, Note pad, Paper)
Watch the story of The Ugly Duckling.
While you watching look carefully at the order of events.
After you have watched the story complete the worksheet
Cut out the pictures and stick them in order that they happened in story.
If you get stuck you can watch the video again.
Challenge: if you found that easy have a go at writing a sentence about each picture to explain what is happening in the story.
Bonus Task:
Colour the picture in using the key on the side. Each letter needs to be coloured in a different colour, see if you can finish the picture.

We have been reading and listening to different fairytales.
In Today's writing task we would like you to create a wanted poster for one of the villains in the many fairytales we have listened to or covered(eg Snow White,The Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel, The Ugly Duckling).
Wanted Poster checklist
Include the name of the character you have chosen,
Use WOW words to describe the villain of your choice.
Provide a description of why this villain is wanted and what is the reward if found.
You may choose to write dotted thirds or use the wanted poster template on the side.
Challenge: If you would like to challenge yourself you might what to create more then one wanted poster.
Writer's checklist

Focus sounds 'qu'
In Prep we have a spelling program known as Smart Spelling. Every week we will be providing words for the students to practice that will be around our focus sound of the week.
This week is 'Qu', students are read the words and write the words daily on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
