9-9:20am - Whole Class Google Meet: Reading

For this session your child will require: -

Writing Pencil

Something to write on (Scrap book, Note pad, Paper)

9:20-9:40am - Small group reading: Students in this group will be asked to remain after the meet.

Task 1: Sticky Sentence

Sticky Sentence

Read the sentence, practice pointing to each word as you read. Then colour each word a different colour.

Cut out the sentence and stick the words below to match the sentence.

Draw a picture to match.

Challenge: Have a go at writing a sentence of your own using a similar sentence structure and using your qu words from our brainstorm.

Task 2: Read a book (or 2!) on Active Learn

Active Learn

Active learn is an online platform that provides levelled books suited for the students, we would like you to read at least one book a day and this can be accessed on www.activelearnprimary.com.au

Their log in information should be at the back of their magic words book.

10:50-11:10am - Small group reading: Students in this group will be asked to remain after the meet.

Task 3: Handwriting

Handwriting: Qu

Watch the video on the diagraph 'Qu'.
Now have a go a carefully tracing the 'Qu' on the handwriting sheet.
Next, see if you can colour in all of the pictures that contain the Qu sound.
Once you have coloured your pictures in you can draw some more things that have the diagraph qu on the back of you page.
You may even want to have a go at writing the word to match your picture, don't forget to sound out.

Task 4: Typing Practice

Practise recognising letters and finding them on your keyboard through playing keyboard jump. To play this game you will require a laptop or computer.
