Listen to the story 'How to Surprise a Dad' by Jean Reagan and Lee Wildish.
This story might give you some ideas about how to surprise your dad or another special family member on Fathers' Day.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups self-raising flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tbs margarine
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 bananas ripe
Steps
Combine milk, egg, margarine, vanilla and bananas, and blend in a mixing jug.
Place flour and sugar in a large bowl. Mix in milk mixture.
Pour mixture into a greased muffin tray.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 180c.
Flour (1 cup)
Salt (1 cup)
Water (1 cup)
Rolling pin
Paint
Paint brush
Cookie cutters
Measure 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of salt and mix them together in a bowl.
Pour out 1 cup of water and mix it into the salt dough mix, a little bit at a time.
If it feels wet or sticky to the touch, add a bit more flour until you can form a dough that holds its shape but doesn’t stick to your fingers.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface using a rolling pin until it’s 1cm thick.
Use cookie cutters to cut out a range of shapes from the dough.
If you don’t have cookie cutters you can cut out shapes with a blunt knife.
If you’d like to hang your ornaments later, then pierce a hole in the top of each one with a pen or skewer.
Place the shapes on a baking tray and bake them in the oven for 3 hours at 140°C.
Take out the shapes and leave them to cool for about half an hour.
Paint your salt dough shapes. You could also use glue and sequins, beads or pom poms to decorate.

2 players
Materials
Piece of paper
2 pencils/pens
Steps
Draw a grid of dots (e.g. 5 rows of 5 dots).
Take it in turns connecting 2 of the dots across or down.
The person who draws the 4th side to make a square gets the point and writes their initial in the box. That person then gets another turn.
Continue until all of the dots have been connected.
Count up how many boxes each person won and the person with the most wins.
