double-face drawing without copying
I took a photo of my front and side profile then drew my double face while looking at it, i think it looks quite like my real face
outlined photo
I used pencil to outline over my front face picture, circiling out the shadows and defining my features
pencil-lined draft
Using a carbon paper under my picture i copied over my pencil outlines onto paper, and tried to be creative to add patterns in my hair such that there would be more details to improve the picture
shaded version
I used a permanent marker to colour in my shadows such that my face would have details, making sure not to leave any white spaces or dots

My template after printing
describe my progress: After taping my canvas, i aligned the canvas with my paper and used red ink to spred over the remplate, i pushed the paint a bit too much which caused the paint on the print to spread out a bit, so i will remember not to do that next time
Red silkscreen print
describe my progress: I spread the red paint out onto the template and it printed onto the paper, i like my results as its is very pigmented and i can obviously see my face with not many white spaces, so i am satisfied, but the lines are a bit spread out so i will not do that next time
half background painted
I used acrylic paint for my whole painting, mixing different colours to get the darker colours i wanted, but i dislike the sky here as i cannot see the different colours and clouds as i used too much black paint so it became too dark
Full background painted
describe my progress:
I had to redo my first two mountains as i was not happy with how they looked, so i added a bit of shadows to the mountains so i could see where each mountain started and added. I also added a moon and some clouds in my sky. I am very happy with how the background turned out, but i would use more paint next time as it was quite hard to blend as the less paint dried very quickly
Painting completed, without outlines
describe my progress:
I am quite unhappy with how my clothing turned out, the details are supposed to be intricate but due to the large and soft size of the paintbrush i could not make the patterns detailed enough and they kind of blended into each other, which i am unhappy about. I like how my faced turned out though, i like the way i blended my neck such that there are nice shadows
Final artwork after outlining
describe my progress:
I am happy with the final painting, outlining with marker pulled everything together and the patterns look more detailed now, i learned how to blend acrylic paints and how to make skin tone colour, i enjoyed my painting progress. I learned painting is a "trust the process" activity, as it does not look great until fully completed

A woman with no expression on her face in the foreground
The woman has thick dark eyebrows and a long neck, with her hair slicked back
Blue sea with round painted waves in the middleground, and dark blue sky with clouds in the background
Fancy clothes with intricate patterns
A hand with long, slim fingers
The lady is the main focus of the painting, in the middle taking about 75% of the painting
The woman looks lonely, all by herself although there is a beautiful scene in the background
The woman has bold features, which shows her masculinity.
The woman looks confident by sitting tall, this may be to portray that she is not insecure about her looks or loneliness, but is proud to embrace herself
