WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PRINTMAKING (SILKSCREEN PRINTING) AND PAINTING? WHICH DO YOU PREFER AND WHY?
My Reflections:
Painting requires the person painting to get the paint and mix to get a colour in order to paint nicely and it requires a lot of skill to paint out the person while the printmaking is much easier given that one can trace the picture out and transfer it on paper, but it can only be done in 1 colour, therefore providing an easier but monochrome option. I prefer printmaking as it is much faster and the paint is usually applied more evenly and look nicer.
HOW WOULD I LIKE TO IMPROVE MY WORK IF I WERE DO MY SILKSCREEN OR PAINTING AGAIN? PLS SPECIFY ONE TYPE.
My Reflections:
If I were to do painting again I would try using more vibrant colours to give a more lively and creative look, either that or I would try to go for more realism and try to mix the colour to match my skin best. Either way I want to try to improve on painting instead of silkscreen as I am quite satisfied at the silkscreen already.
