-I see a man with wearing blue clothes in the foreground. The middleground shows that he has a beard. The background is blue. - - Some elements of art used are colour and line, The artist uses clear lines for his hair. The man's shirt is similar to the background colour. The man has a light brown skin.
-His body is facing 45 degrees from the front, showing only one ear but his eyes are looking in front.
-The artist wants him himself to stand out.
-I think the artist is trying to make people notice himself. I feel pity for him.
-The elements of art make the artwork look attractive.
-He had furrowed brows which probably shows how much challenges he has to deal with.
-The artist had this kind of art style
-I am curious about the artwork as I don't know what he is trying to tell us through his self-portrait.
-Why does he make his shirt the same colour as his background?
-He used swirls in the background. I think it is an illusion.
-Why is the title of the artwork 'Oslo Self-Portrait.'?
-I would like to replace the shirt with a complementary colour of blue. It makes the shirt stand out in the background
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PRINTMAKING (SILKSCREEN PRINTING) AND PAINTING? WHICH DO YOU PREFER AND WHY?
My Reflections:
Printmaking requires machinery use while painting is using the paintbrush and paint onto a paper. I prefer printmaking. Printmaking is fast and easy while painting requires lots of patience.
HOW WOULD I LIKE TO IMPROVE MY WORK IF I WERE DO MY SILKSCREEN OR PAINTING AGAIN? PLS SPECIFY ONE TYPE.
My Reflections:
I would like to improve my work if I were to do my painting again. I could've painted my skin with a lighter colour and not start off with such a dark colour. My hair is also done in a rush so I could've done better.
Thank you :)
