Modeling Talks
This talk series aims to support communication among the many teams at Alphabet that are focused modeling various aspects of the physical, biological or social phenomena, using a wide range of techniques ranging from differential equations, discrete-event simulations and machine learning. Topics of interest include
Models of phenomena in a given domain (e.g., turbulence, road congestion, cell biology, power transmission, weather, economics)
Modeling techniques (e.g., differential equations, discrete event models, graphical models, causal models)
Methods to solve models (e.g., linear solvers, PDE solvers, equation discretization, model parallelization techniques)
Auto-science techniques (e.g., equation inference, pattern detection, example generation, causal inference)
Talk topics are announced and discussed on our group: https://groups.google.com/a/modelingtalks.org/g/talks/members.
