The children played games to focus on number identification. They worked on carefully reading and writing teen numbers. They acted out and read story problems. They practiced drawing a clear picture to show the answer and writing an equation to match what happened in the story. Some problems had more than one answer so they worked on finding different ways to solve it. They also practiced solving simple addition equations to become fluent with basic facts. 

Social Studies 

We started a new unit on mapping. The children looked at different maps and shared what they noticed. They shared when they have used maps and how they can help us. They created maps of their bedrooms and the classroom. They also made a treasure map and had a lot of fun creating a trail to find the treasure chest!
