We continued to learn new games to practice reading, writing, and ordering numbers to 20. Students worked on building teen numbers using cubes. They snapped together cubes to show the group of ten and extra ones. We ordered numbers 10-20 to see the pattern in the ones place. We also practiced counting forward by crossing decades accurately. We will continue to work on place value concepts after break and also work on measuring objects in different ways.

Science 

This week we listened to many different teahcing books about different kinds of bugs. We noticed some bugs are helpful and some are harmful. Ask your child to share what we learned. We will learn more about insects, arachnids, and myriapods after vacation.
