This week the children worked on accurately measuring how long objects were using cubes. They practice snapping cubes together, counting the total, and recording it to show length. They did their best to accurately show numbers without reversing digits or transposing them (writing 51 instead of 15). They also worked on counting larger collections of objects to figure out the total.

Science 

The children learned about amphibians and fish this week. They listened to nonfiction books to learn fun facts about different animals and compared/contrasted them. They noticed differences between reptiles and amphibians and shared prior knowledge. We will finish our unit on Zoology after break and begin a new unit on Ecology.
