The children reviewed efficient ways to count objects. They noticed dot patterns and shared their strategies for finding out the total. They compared numbers and practiced adding and subtracting one from different numbers. They learned new games to practice reading teen numbers. We also celebrated the 100th day of school on Tuesday. We practiced counting by ones and tens to 100. The children also made creations with 100 objects. 

Science 

The children continued to learn about Force and Motion. They played “table shuffleboard” one day and practiced using different amounts of force (gentle vs hard pushes) to get their lids across the tape line on a table. They were also bowling in PE which ties in perfectly with our motion unit!
