Daily Operations
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM:
Receptionist:
This is the time the Receptionist will Perform duties, such as organizing equipment and watering the plants and straightening magazines to maintain the reception area.
Personal Trainer:
This is the timeframe where josh will do a lot of his group HIT sessions and will also catch up on social media and film short videos for his Instagram page promoting his services.
Receptionist:
At this time the receptionist would Arrange and records details of appointments, answers inquiries and provides information on the goods Josh provides, and answer and connect telephone calls. The receptionist will also receive and resolves complaints from clients and the public.
Personal Trainer:
Josh will get cleaned up from the workouts. Josh will Have a post-workout meal or snack. He will then check messages, make calls to schedule appointments, and perform general administrative tasks to help support his business
1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Cleaner:
At this time the cleaner would come in and organize all the equipment needed for sanitizing and wiping down the gym and would be checking the vacuum and plants outside and maintain a safe clean environment for josh’s gym.
Receptionist:
The receptionist would greet clients and provide the services people come in for example gym-goers and show them the services they paid for example an all-day gym pass or a group HIT cardio session. The receptionist would also keep track and up to date with all josh’s clients and let Josh knows his clients' needs.
Personal Trainer:
This time in the mid-day is when most people have the opportunity to make it to the gym and have an individual strength workout session, which makes it a great time to see clients.
4:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Cleaner:
The cleaner at this time would be the busiest by sorting the equipment and unpacking new equipment josh orders and will be in charge of replacing damaged or faulty equipment and reporting risks and hazards to josh. The cleaner would also be cleaning after every time josh is finished with a class.
Receptionist:
This time would be the busiest time for Josh’s gym so the receptionist would Receive payment and record receipts for services.
Personal Trainer:
This is the time of day when most people are available to meet with Josh, many will schedule sessions or training plans and josh will teach classes during this block of time
7:30 PM – 9 PM
Cleaner:
At the end of the cleaner's day/shift, they will be informing josh with any appropriate information for example damaged equipment changing a weight and reporting incidents, and around this time the cleaner would clean after the people that used the gym by sanitizing and placing back equipment to the appropriate area.
Receptionist:
At this time the receptionist would proofread Josh’s social media posts and work on josh’s website and the receptionist would also arrange meetings and schedule josh’s day for upcoming days with clients
Personal Trainer:
This is the time when josh will start helping put back all the equipment and sanitise workout materials and will do an end of day check to see if any machines are broken and needs replacement, and he will be reporting accidents and preparing accident reports then josh will head home to eat an evening meal and see his family. Josh will still be checking messages and following up with clients to be sure he has a full schedule for the next day.

JosFit falls under the Fitness industry award (MA000094). Employees at JosFit are entitled to the following:
Hours of work
Under the Fitness Industry Award, the ordinary hours of work shouldn’t exceed 38 hours per week
Josh’s business is open 9:30 am to 9 pm on weekdays and on Saturday is open 8 am to 1 pm
Maximum Hours
Josh’s employees (Cleaner, Receptionist) must not work more than 10 hours on any one day.
Public holidays
In josh’s business All public holiday entitlements are per the National Employment Standards. All Josh’s employees including himself are entitled to a paid day off on a public holiday. Under the Fitness Industry Award, a full-time or part-time employee working on public holiday will be paid 250% of the minimum hourly rate
Allowances
Under josh’s Fitness Industry Award, his business offers the following allowances:
Broken shift allowance: an employee working a rostered broken shift must be paid additionally
First-aid allowance: employee who is rostered by an employer to be on first aid duty must be paid extra.
Meal allowance: if employee is required to work more than 1.5 hours overtime, employer must pay them a meal allowance.
Vehicle allowance: employees authorised to use their own motor vehicle will be paid an allowance.

OHS
Another duty josh must undertake cleaning in his workplace, and this is his protocol:
Treadmill: Josh’s protocol; wipe down the entire machine using a clean dust cloth. With the treadmill belt, he uses a soft-bristle brush to remove any hardened mud while rotating the belt for all-round clean. To Finish off, wipe the top of belt with a damp cloth, allow it to air dry before rotating and wiping the other side of the belt.
After dust is removed and other debris, disinfect the high-touch areas. Using an EPA-registered disinfect dampen a clean cloth and wipe over the handrails, dashboard, buttons, and other exterior parts. Try not to use soaked/wet cloth while disinfecting.
Exercise bike
Josh’s protocol; dust the bike with a clean cloth, pay attention to nooks and crannies where dust might accumulate and also the flywheel and chain guard. A narrow brush or feather duster is also used.
Next, a clean damp cloth wiping frequently touched spots such as the handles, buttons, seat, and seat adjuster. This is done to get rid of dirt and stains before sanitizing the surfaces to remove bacteria. With a fresh cloth.
Dumbbells/Weights

Emails are a main part of JosFit company and that's how he ensures he is updated with his clients all day, Josh offers a consistent and truthful check ins with his clients on a daily basis, what Josh does is email his clients a questionnaire and then talk to them and ask follow up questions based on their responses and to see what they're comfortable with to ensure their fitness journey is a success. depending on what plan they're on they would get different questionnaires and different meal plans and training splits, for example with a powerlifting plan Josh will check in with their new weigh ins the new PR's (personal record) they have obtained and to check if their meal plan is going okay that josh has made for them, and to make sure they don't plateau with their strength. If that is the case Josh will update their training plan/diet.
Risk Assessments:
A gym risk assessment needs to be carried out and understood to josh's employees and are taught to understand what risks are and to see if any can be minimized or mitigated. Hazards in a gym shouldn't be ignored and that's why Josh always ensures he updates his risk assessment on a regular basis

The Risk and safety department take over any OHS issues at any business, but how this works is, an incident occurs at the workplace then they must make an incident report and fill it out with the information.
