3rd-Grade Art

The Lesson: Following a review of the previously mentioned "Genres in Art," the 3rd-Grade students focused their attentions on Cityscapes and the colors, shapes, and patterns that make up the cityscapes by which they are surrounded. Next, using their line and shape tools, students created cityscape drawings depicting what they see when they look out their windows.

Lesson Objectives: Students can connect the meaning of personal works of art to their own communities as they use the language of visual art and design as a tool to help determine artistic intent (Visual Arts - 2020 Colorado Academic Standards, 2020).
