Mealtime Tools
The Lesson: As an introduction to Still Life painting, students viewed works of art depicting items people use to prepare and or eat a meal. Each student then created their own still life drawing of items found in their own homes, used to create and or eat a meal. Lastly, each student created a corresponding voice recoding describing the items they chose to render in their drawing, with an emphasis on prepositions of location.
Lesson Objectives: Students can describe the steps used in creating works of art. Students can describe the position of each item, using prepositions of location (Visual Arts - 2020 Colorado Academic Standards, 2020).
