NUMBER OPERATIONS

Students will investigate how number operations connect and help solve real-world problems. SHAPE & SPACE

Students will investigate how shapes, space, and position help us understand and interact with our environment. They will build skills in classifying, drawing, and transforming shapes, and applying geometry in real-life contexts. MEASUREMENT

Students will explore how measurement helps us understand and describe the world. They will use standard units to measure length, area, volume, mass, capacity, and time. Through inquiry, they will compare, convert, and apply units to real-life problems. They will investigate how accuracy depends on tools and context. Students will develop skills in using formulas, estimating, and choosing appropriate strategies. This unit builds confidence in applying measurement in meaningful, everyday situations through hands-on tasks and collaborative thinking.
