Born and raised on Omaha/Elkhorn, Nebraska. We moved to Council Bluffs my Sophomore year in High School where I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School (1990).
I participated in volleyball, basketball, track, softball, band, and choir at TJ.
Graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University where I played volleyball and track. During that time we traveled to Japan for Pre Season, and finished in Hawaii with a 6th place finish in the Nation. I also qualified for Indoor and Outdoor NAIA track Nationals while at DWU.
I was raised by a single mother, who is by far the strongest person I have ever known. She passed away several years ago. I have 1 sister (Tiffany and Paul), 3 nieces (Rachel, Shiloh and Megan), and 2 nephews (Nathan and Caleb).
My son Jacob is 22 years old. In 2014 He graduated from Lewis Central where he played football, wrestled, and was a 2 time STATE Champion in Shot Put and Discus (track). He will graduated from the University of South Dakota with an Exercise of Science Degree in December 2018.
I have taught at Lewis Central for the last 18 years, currently teaching Physical Education (AKA...Dream JOB)! I have coached Volleyball at LC for the last 16 years, and recently moved to be the Head Coach at Treynor High School. I also coached track in the shot put and discus for the last 18 years.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my friends and family, and keeping my hands busy doing counting cross stitching. I also like going for walks with my dog, Herbie.
