Growing Up

  • Lived with my mom, dad, and older brother Brian
  • Born in Missouri Valley, IA
  • Lived in small town- Modale, IA until 3 years old
  • Moved to the west end of Council Bluffs- attended Franklin Elementary, Wilson Jr. High, Thomas Jefferson High School
  • Study elementary education at University of Nebraska at Omaha- Graduated with Undergraduate Degree December, 2001, graduated with Masters in Education summer of 2003
  • Wanted to be an astronomer, lawyer, or teacher growing up (Dad was a teacher)

As an Educator

  • Taught 3 years at Wildewood Elementary (2-3 multi-age, 1-2 multi-age) in Ralston, Nebraska
  • Taught 4th grade for 9 years at Titan Hill Intermediate School
  • District Math Coach for 1 year at Council Bluffs Community School District
  • Currently in my 3rd year as an Instructional Coach for Lewis Central Schools (1 year Titan Hill, 2 years Lewis Central Middle School)

My Family

  • Justin - high school sweetheart, former assistant baseball coach at TJ (under Jim Dermody), former assistant football coach at TJ, former head football coach at AL, current teacher and coach at Lewis Central High School, loves sports, can rattle off insane facts no one should know from past games, athletes, and coaches
  • 4 sons- Braylon (8th grader), Landon (6th grader), Quentin (2nd grader), Kroy (Kindergartener)
  • Braylon (13 years old)- his father’s son quiet, competitive, and very hardworking, amazing older brother who has a very big heart for his family- even if he is good at hiding it from others
  • Landon (11 years old)- Witty and fun-loving, will do anything for anyone and has been nicknamed “Smiley” by many due to the smile that is always on his face, loves Michigan football
  • Quentin (7 years old)- Intense spirit, who loves asking questions and is always thinking about what he observes and learns, loves video games and can talk extensively about them (thanks to his older brothers)
  • Kroy (5 years old)-Individuality is the name of this boy’s game, with an imagination that never stops and a zest for life that can make anyone smile, loves dressing up (football player, baseball player,super hero, Herkie the Hawkeye, drum major. . . the list goes on and on and on), loves hats and tall socks.

More About Me

  • The past 4 years I have found a new journey for making myself healthy and strong for my boys. I enjoy working out and meeting new goals I place for myself.
  • Supporting my children’s activities- (baseball, football, wrestling, track), and my husband’s passion for coaching
  • Favorite thing to do with my family- attend sporting events, creating memories on vacations and holidays
