Mrs. Pettepier
Deb Pettepier married 30 years to Todd Pettepier. We met in 5th grade at Glendale Elementary in Council Bluffs, Iowa. We were good friends all the way through school. We dated a bit our senior year and then he headed to University of Iowa and headed to Oklahoma Christian in Edmond Ok. Todd wrote me a letter almost every day so I would not forget him. He knew I was the one for him! I attended OC for 2 years and then headed to Iowa to be with the guy who I would end up marrying! Hard pursuit wins!
I attended Abraham Lincoln for high school. I broke my tailbone in MS so sports were out for me. I was in show choir, newspaper, journalism, yearbook, student council, and NHS. I attended OC for 2 years and then transferred to U of I and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I subbed for 3 years in the Urbandale school district because I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom. I worked at the YMCA as a part time preschool teacher until I became the Preschool director there. When all my kids finally got into school I decided to substitute teach at Lewis Central. I subbed for 8 years. I decided to try something different 2 years ago and became the registrar/guidance secretary at the middle school. I love working with kids, parents, teachers and administrators. I think middle school kids are truly amazing!
Todd is a software engineer at Mutual of Omaha. He loves any kind of sports with his kiddos. He played football, basketball and baseball at Abraham Lincoln. He received the Male Athlete of the year trophy when he was in high school. I love doing life with this guy!
Zach our oldest is a graduate of LC and he is married to Brigette. Zach and Brigette both played sports in high school. Brigette was a setter for University of Nebraska at Lincoln in college. Zach works in IT at Union Pacific and Brigette works as a radiologist tech for Ortho Nebraska. They just blessed us with our first grandson Tayson Root Pettepier. He weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. Both parents are over 6 ft. So I think he is going to be a BIG boy. We LOVE the grandparenting thing!
Nate is a graduate of LC and married Sarah. Nate is a software developer at Silver and Sarah just passed her boards. Sarah will start her job as a PA in a family clinic in Lincoln. Both kids love sports and love to hike. They both love a hard puzzle to put together!
McKenzie is a graduate of LC. She works as a financial analyst at Berkshire Hathaway. McKenzie played volleyball and did track in high school.
McKaylee is a senior at LC. She is involved in Corp (show choir), president of NHS, FCA, helps out with kids at First Christian Church, has tried many sports in HS and works at the YMCA. She loves to sing in the shower and loves hanging out with friends and family.
McKenna is a sophomore at LC. She is involved in cross country, soccer, basketball, student council and FCA. She is our surprise miracle baby. If you want to know more about that just ask! She loves little ones and any sport you can play.
We have an intern from Iowa State, Rachel Lam who is staying with us. She is from Singapore She is studying to be a dietician. We have gotten to try sushi, dumplings, miso soup, and several other fun dishes!
The Pettepier family loves to play back yard volleyball, eat good food and we love to take family vacations together. We love people!
