My husband of 20 years (almost - this February 💗) works for the Flippen Group as a Regional Leadership Strategist. He’s kept busy attending our daughters’ activities, spending time with our large extended family and being active in the band, White Catfish.
Our 17 ½ year old daughter (yes, needed to add that ½ as to a 17 year old, it matters) who is a senior at LCHS. She is active in cross country and track. In Kylee’s spare time you can find her running cross country and track or binge watching Harry Potter Movies.
Our 13 year old who is an 8th grader at LCMS. Kara is quick witted and is our performer. She is involved in show choir and track. Outside of school you can find Kara hanging with her friends, reading a good book or rooting on the Iowa State Cyclones.
I was born and raised in New Hampton, Iowa
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa
I received my Master’s Degree from the University of Omaha
This is my 24th year of teaching - 11th year at Lewis Central
● When I’m not teaching, you can find me reading, running, or watching movies. (Yes, a good book, run, or Netflix binge can cure anything!)
● I also love spending time with my husband and two daughters and planning our next travel destination. We love to travel and our latest trip was marked off the bucket list this summer. We traveled to Ireland and had the opportunity to travel Ireland’s breathtaking scenic views! Not sure what destination will top that one, but we will try!
● Another love that I have is baking. My daughters and I have taken up this hobby and not only love baking cookies for our family and friends, but have added baking for the Iowa Cookie Crumbs. We love knowing that this is a small thing that lets the troops know that we care and we appreciate what they do every day for our country.
