I am from Osage, Iowa. I attended Wartburg College where I Majored in Elementary Education, and Minored in Reading and Coaching while also playing Football and running Track. In 2007 I earned a Master’s Degree in Technology Integration. In my 25 year teaching career I’ve taught 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, Driver’s Ed, Elementary and High School PE, K-8 Computers and STEM.
My wife Tatum and I are the proud parents of four wonderful children! We spend as much time together as possible, whether it be exploring the outdoors hiking and camping, or enjoying movies at home. Tatum works at Iowa Western Community College. Keeley is now married and living in North Carolina while our son-in-law Jake finishes his service in the Army. Baylor is a Junior in High School, Reegan is a Freshman, and Ian is in 6th Grade.
My greatest passions in life are my family, hiking, college football and my faith! Our favorite place to hike and camp is the Rocky Mountains – we try to make at least one trip each year and hope to climb our first “14er” soon! I am a college football fanatic, loving to watch no matter who is playing, but my favorite team (of course) is the Huskers! We are members of Saint John Lutheran here in Council Bluffs and could not possibly be more Blessed to have such a wonderful place to call “home”!
