- This is my fourth year with Lewis Central as a K-12 Instructional Strategist II
- Born and raised on a 700-acre farm outside of Lucas, Iowa; 45 miles southeast of Des Moines, Iowa.
- I have 4 siblings, 1 older brother, 2 older sisters and a younger brother I grew raising Gelbvieh Show cattle and Shar-Pei Show dogs.
- I taught for 7 years and then accepted a position as a Phycology Assistant at the Woodwood State Hospital. After 7 years with the State Hospital, I returned to my first love, teaching.
- In the first 7 years of teaching, I had the opportunity to teach in Texas, North Carolina, Missouri and back to home state of Iowa.
- Attended Chariton Community School – Kindergarten through Graduation
- Bachelor’s Degree from Buena Vista University
- Master’s Degree from Morningside College
- In our spare time, we raise Chinese Shar-Pei and Portuguese Podengo Pequenos Show dogs.
- We currently own the Number 2 ranked Chinese Shar-Pei in the United States. She is a Best In Show winner and a Multiple Group Winning and Group Placing as well as a Multiple Best In Specialty Winner
- We also currently own the Number 1 ranked Portuguese Podengo Pequenos in the United States. She is a Best In Show winner and a Multiple Group Winning and Group Placing as well as a Multiple Best In Specialty Winner
- Belle – our Portuguese Podengo Pequenos is also the 2018 Portuguese Podengo Pequenos of American National Specialty Winner.
- We are proud to say these two dogs were breed and raised at our house and we continue the ownership of them.
- Both of these girls will be invited to the 2018 AKC National Championship in December and 2019 Westminster Kennel Club Show in New York in February…..watch for them/us on TV with our girls.
