This is my 19th school year with Lewis Central. I started as a paraeducator, first at Lakeview Elementary, and then Kreft Primary. I eventually started working in the office. I was the secretary at Kreft Primary for ten years. This is my third school year at LCMS.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Cliff, for 31 years. Cliff and I moved to Council Bluffs from Des Moines 29 years ago. We enjoy working on house projects and redoing furniture. We always have a project “in the works”. We are the proud parents of three amazing boys.
Derek is my oldest son. He graduated from Lewis Central High School in 2008. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Lexi, for six years. They are fabulous parents to three beautiful children. I LOVE being a grandma!! Morgan is my four-year-old granddaughter. She is full of imagination and has a smile that lights up a room. She started preschool this year. I love listening to her play the piano and sing songs that she makes up. Connor and Jackson are my one-year-old identical twin grandsons. They love to play outside. They look alike but have very different personalities.
Nate is my middle son. He graduated from Lewis Central High School in 2009. He works at a homeless shelter in Council Bluffs. He recently became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) worker. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court and other settings. His big heart is truly an inspiration to me. In his free time, he’s a drummer in a group called “Forgiven Sinner”.
Max is my youngest son. He’s a 6th grade student at LCMS. He’s an avid bowler. He bowls on the Youth Bowling League every Saturday during the school year. He earned a spot in the Pepsi Tournament and State Bowling Tournament last year. When he’s not bowling, he’s busy playing way too many video games.
Charlie and Niko are my four-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. These two pups have stolen my heart. Their hobbies include walking across my wet floor after I mop and seeing how much water they can splash on the floor while drinking.
