Mr. Frascht

The most important thing in my story is that I’m a father. I take great pride and joy in being Sophia Frascht’s Dad! She is a 3rd grader at Titan Hill and she plays volleyball, soccer, softball, and basketball. She loves sports and movies. We love to play board games together and read books. She constantly amazes me with how smart and funny she is. I think I’m most impressed with how caring she is. I couldn’t have asked for a better daughter.

I’m also a life-long Titan! I went to Lewis Central as a student and I’m so thankful for the amazing education I received. I love being a Titan. As a student at Lewis Central I really loved sports. I ran cross country and track. I played baseball and basketball. The sport I was best at and liked the most was basketball. I always took great pride in representing Lewis Central anytime I competed.

After high school I played college basketball at Columbia College in Missouri and then transferred to the University of Iowa. I am a huge Hawkeye Fan! I have a BA in English, a BS in Elementary Education, and a BA in Film and Broadcasting from Iowa and I’m so proud to be an alumni.

I came back to Lewis Central 20 years ago to teach. I love the community this school is the center of, and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. I have coached many sports in my tenure at LC. I’ve been the Assistant Cross Country Coach for 26 years. I was the Assistant Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach for 12 years. I was the Head Girls’ Varsity Tennis Coach for 1 year. I have also been the Head Girls’ Varsity Track Coach for 18 years. I have loved all the time I’ve spent coaching the great kids we have here at LC!

I recently went back to UNO and got my MA in Library Sciences in addition to my MA in Mass Media. I made the jump from the classroom to the librarian at the Middle School and the High School. It’s an amazing position that I love. I am so lucky that I get to share my passion of books with the students at both schools. Nothing is as rewarding professionally as having a student come back and thank me for having connected them with a book they love. My goal is to instill a love of reading in all students at LC.

Personally I have many hobbies. I love to travel and experience new places and people. I like to run, watch and play sports, and obviously read. I’m a huge movie buff and love to watch everything from documentaries to the new blockbuster. I feel very blessed to have a great career and family.
