We have been investigating the lives and cultures of the Aztecs and comparing them to life today. We have explored ancient artworks and have designed, built and decorated our own totem poles. We have also tried foods from modern day Mexico. We have looked at different rocks and discussed their properties too.

Topic: Road Trip
During our Power of Reading lessons this module, we are reading the story 'How to Find Gold'. In groups, we have discussed how the characters in the story plan to find their treasure and have individually created our own treasure maps. We have used Google's Read & Write app to support our literacy skills when writing about the story.

Topic: Field to Fork
During our Art and DT lessons this module, we are working on a project to create a doll out of wool. Over the course of the module students will each make their own doll and clothes for them to wear.
Dartford Small Schools Football Tournament.
Students from Nova and Moonbeam class took part in the Small Schools Football Tournament At Dartford Football Club on Tuesday 23rd May. They had a lot of fun, showed fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day and played brilliantly. All of the students were a wonderful representation for the school and had a great time!
