We hope you had a restful and enjoyable half-term break and managed to catch some sunshine. It's hard to believe we’re entering the final term of the academic year—time has flown by!
This module, our inquiry learning will focus on The Ancient Romans and Light. Pupils will explore the fascinating world of Roman gods and their meanings, become familiar with Roman soldiers, and discover how light reflects off their shields. We'll also be venturing into a sensory-rich Roman garden experience, engaging all five senses along the way.
In Sensology, our theme is Sikhism. Children will have the opportunity to listen to traditional Sikh instruments, observe the Khanda symbol under UV light, and even sample some authentic Sikh desserts lovingly prepared by our Coast team.
We’re also excited to begin Liquid Listening sessions this term, and staff are looking forward to observing how pupils respond to the calming effects of underwater music.
This module is packed with exciting events, including Sports Day, enrichment fun days, a special visit from the Embracing Arts Theatre Company, and our aspirational trip to the London Aquarium on the Southbank—a highlight we are all eagerly anticipating!
Here’s to a joyful and inspiring final module!

Coast Class had a truly unforgettable adventure on their trip to the London Sea Life Centre! The excitement began with a journey on the train, where pupils enjoyed watching the world go by through the windows. On arrival, they were greeted by the vibrant atmosphere of the Southbank, including lively street performers and the buzz of the city. Lunch in front of the iconic London Eye was a special moment, filled with laughter and shared experiences. Inside the aquarium, pupils were captivated by the sounds and sights of the rainforest room, mesmerised by the glowing jellyfish, amazed by the swirling colours of the coral reef tunnel and awestruck by the sharks gliding overhead. It was a magical day filled with wonder and every pupil had the most amazing time – though they were all very tired by the journey home! We cannot wait for our next Adventure!
