My name is Steven Bredberg and I am the library media specialist at Marlborough High School. But don't worry: I'm not just another pretty face.
I have been a longtime history teacher at MHS and know the subject matter, students, faculty, and institution well.
My degrees are both in History, although I have my librarian certification through Simmons University.
Education and Teaching Experience
I graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2005 with my Bachelor's Degree in History and again in 2009 with my Master's Degree in History. Since then I have taught at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Trinity Basin Preparatory Academy, Guyer High School, and Marlborough High School. I am in the final stages of completing my Library Certification Program at Simmons University and anticipate my license to be issued in December 2024.
Family
I married my wife, Emily Fultz Bredberg, in 2013. She is also an educator, serving first as a middle school teacher and then as a librarian at both the elementary level and the high school level. She is currently the librarian at Shrewsbury High School.
In 2018, my wife and I adopted a little girl. She is currently a kindergartner at Johnny Appleseed Elementary in Leominster, MA. She is known for her interest in science, Bluey, and making her poor old dad chase her all over the place.
Personal
As the father of a six year old, I have precious little free time. However, when I do, I enjoy doing some backyard blacksmithing, vintage motorcycle restoration, and reading. I have also been drafted by daughter into serving as her lab assistant, although I contend most of her science is more akin to medieval alchemy. Our most potent breakthrough so far has been making a huge mess.
