Presidential Power During WWII

Introduction

After the Japanese attack on the U.S. military base at Pearl Harbor, America found itself at war.  While the war was being fought far from America's heartland, the effects of the war could still be felt at home.  The need for the government to organize American resources to fight the war raised questions about the limits of government power and potential overreach into the lives of the citizenry.
