We have had another great week at school, filled with fantastic learning and wonderful community events. In our assemblies this week, we have been talking about democracy. This is an essential British Value, and the children engaged in some brilliant discussions about fairness, voice, and how we can make decisions as we work together to build our school community. Thank you for your contribution and continued support in making our community such a great place for the children.
It was wonderful to meet with lots of you at our recent Headteacher Update meetings. Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their feedback. For those who could not make it, I have attached the slides here to give you a flavour of what was discussed.
The school gates and pathways become very crowded, so please do not take bikes or scooters beyond the main gate. Please leave all bikes and scooters in the bike shed which has been cleaned this week!
Coming Soon: 'Community Swap and Share' Shed. We are excited to announce that we are looking to launch a 'Community Swap and Share' shed very soon. This initiative aims to encourage recycling, reduce waste, and remove financial barriers to accessing school uniform. We would love your help to get this started if you have any good quality, pre-loved uniform items your children have outgrown that you are happy to donate. Please pass donations to the main office.
It was wonderful to see some of our Reception parents join us for the Rabbits class share at lunchtime this week. We look forward to welcoming Hedgehogs parents next week.
A quick reminder that the CLIC (Children Learning in Class) sessions are happening next Monday at 9am. Please come along and join the learning directly with your children in their classrooms - please remember that for space reasons we can only welcome one family member per child although we will repeat these sessions each term so everyone can join over time.
Finally, I must give a final mention to Miss Davies who leaves our school today after many years’ faithful service. Miss Davies is leaving to take an exciting challenge in a new job and we are very excited for her. However, we will really miss her and I am sure you would want to join me in saying a huge thank you as we say goodbye.
Well that’s all for this week - I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
