Friday 1 May 2026

Happy Friday everyone, I can’t believe it is May already.  In assembly this week, we revisited our value of Aspiration.  We considered how this might link to our future selves and shared with each other about the sorts of careers we may like to pursue.  This was in preparation of the launch of our new Jupiter Futures initiative that we are launching next week.  I’ll let you know more about that next week.

We have continued to enjoy the glorious sunshine, enjoying our wonderful outdoor spaces together.  Several year groups have enjoyed forest school and the whole school have had opportunities to play together.  It has been so lovely to see the children playing together, using their kindness and teamwork skills.

On the subject of playing, I was excited to hear that an order has now been placed for some wonderful new playground markings to help our children keep active and having fun.  These are due to be installed just before half term and have been entirely funded and organised by our amazing PTA - Friends of Jupiter.  Thank you to everyone involved with the PTA and for all of you who have supported their fundraising efforts.  We will continue to focus on the playground environment as we seek to enable the children to have a great experience at school.

Finally, the children in my board game club have asked me to recommend a game that they have been enjoying.  It is called Just One and is a cooperative party game where players work together to help a single player guess a word.  It is for 2 - 7 players and is suitable for children from around the age of 8 upwards.  Definitely one to check out if you are after something to play at home!

I wish you all a wonderful bank holiday weekend and I look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday.

Best wishes,

Al Robinson
