There has been so much concentration and effort from everyone at Jupiter this week. This is particularly true in Year Six where the children have been working hard, taking their KS2 Assessments (SATs). A huge congratulations to all of the children for a tremendous effort during the week, we are so proud of you. Also, a massive thank you to all of the staff and parents who have helped support the children throughout the week. The rest of the school have also been so flexible and accommodating - especially Year Four who kindly let us use their class rooms to have more space. Thank you everyone and well done for a wonderful community effort.
Throughout the week, classes have continued to discuss our value of aspiration. It has been so exciting to hear about the variety of jobs that our children would love to do in the future, everything from a scientist to a singing dog groomer - what wonderful aspirations to have! Thank you for working with us in partnership to help our children have the best learning opportunities for the benefit of their lives ahead.
Our attendance this week had been up and down, with it dipping to 92% today. We do understand that sometimes children are really unwell and cannot be in school. However, please do encourage your child to attend whenever possible, since every absence leads to missed learning.
It was great to see so many of you at the Attendance and Anxiety workshop that we hosted alongside Dacorum Family Services earlier today. These events give so much useful advice and information for parents, I hope those of you who attended found it useful. Parents may be interested in the range of support and workshops that have been arranged by Dacorum DSPL - more information is available below.
Urgent reminder: We are a nut free school since some of our children have very severe nut allergies. It is vital that you do not send products containing nuts in for packed lunches or snacks. This includes chocolate spreads that contain hazelnuts (such as Nutella). We are so grateful for your support in this matter.
I hope you have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you next week.
