It has been another fantastic week at school with so much going on.  Our focus in assembly on Monday was on taking responsibility for ourselves and our own actions.  It has been really encouraging to have great conversations with the children about this over the following days.

On the subject of personal responsibility, our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic educational trip to the Hemel Hempstead Fire Station this week to take part in the Crucial Crew event. When they were there, they learned vital life skills to help them keep themselves safe.  They had an excellent time and represented our school brilliantly… Well done Year 6!

A huge thank you to everyone who has given so generously to our Harvest collection.  Your contributions will make a massive difference to families in our local community.  If you still wish to donate, there is time before our harvest celebration assembly on 23 October.  Please donate non-perishable food items into the box near the gate or leave items at the school office.

As the weather begins to turn, please ensure children come to school with a named, waterproof coat for outdoor play so we can continue to enjoy the outdoors areas whenever possible.

Don't forget to purchase your tickets for the upcoming Halloween Disco.  Full details and information about purchasing tickets can be found in the PTA section below.  We are really looking forward to seeing everyone's creative outfits although we kindly ask that all costumes remain school-appropriate.  Please avoid anything overly scary or weapons, as we want to make sure the event stays fun for our younger children.

Finally, we have had a number of incidents of head lice in school.  Please check your children’s hair and use treatment as necessary.

Have a great weekend!
