It was a pleasure to welcome Dr Josephine Valentine OBE, CEO of Danes Educational Trust, to Jupiter on Monday. It was a pleasure to show Josephine around the school - our children were welcoming and very engaged in their learning. Well done everyone.
Mrs Bolton and our drama group continued to help us explore our new Jupiter Choices, a set of skills that help us sort out small problems. This week, the focus was on knowing when it can be helpful to walk away. They showed us how sometimes it is appropriate to use the “Super Power of Ignoring” when things are not going well. They also helped us to consider when this is not helpful and we might need help from an adult. Well done to everyone who has tried to use these important skills.
Four of our Year Six children have been acting as Board Game Ambassadors and started to teach new games to their friends this week. Well done to Kye, Henry, Thierry and Owen for all of your hard work - you have been brilliant. For those of you who enjoy playing games at home, we will occasionally share a recommendation of a game that the group have enjoyed. Their first suggestion is Tinderblox, a wonderful game that is tiny but enormous fun. Perfect for anyone who likes a little challenge!
Thank you to everyone who attended the Friends of Jupiter Primary School meeting on Monday evening. It was great to hear your ideas and I am looking forward to all of the amazing events that are planned. Watch this space for more details!
It has been wonderful to see the children enjoying a non-uniform today. Thank you to all who have contributed to the collection, your support is very much appreciated and helps us to provide additional opportunities for your children.
On Tuesday 03 March for Book week, children can wear pyjamas or a costume to school and then return to school between 4-5pm to join our ‘Bedtime Stories’ event.
I hope you all have a fantastic half-term holiday. We are really looking forward to seeing you when we return on the 23rd Feruary.
