I am sure everyone is ready for the half-term break that is now upon us, and today is a great opportunity to reflect on all that has gone on this last half-term at Jupiter.  There have been many highlights for me, and I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know more of the pupils and families and being part of daily life at Jupiter.  Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement; it is very much appreciated, and thank you to those of you who take the time to come and speak to me around the school at the start and end of the day.

It's been a busy and productive week here at Jupiter, and I wanted to share a few reflections as we head into the half-term break.  First, it was wonderful to see so many of you—parents, carers, and pupils—at the consultation meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thank you for making the time to attend. We sincerely hope you found these meetings helpful and supportive in understanding your child's progress. We also appreciated your feedback on the revised hall layout, and we're glad it helped make the process more efficient!

Secondly, this Wednesday, we marked World Stuttering Day. This was a truly meaningful event as it tied into our whole-school focus on resilience this half-term. We shared the inspiring story of a young man named Mushara. Mushara started secondary school unable to speak due to a stutter, yet through hard work and learned strategies, he overcame his challenges to the point of being able to deliver public presentations about his journey.

I was incredibly proud of the whole school in how they listened, understood the differences and challenges Mushara faced, and showed such genuine compassion and support for others who may find talking difficult. It was a beautiful and powerful way to bring our focus on the value of resilience to a close.

Finally, I want to update you on the ongoing process of appointing a new Headteacher for Jupiter. We have been conducting interviews over the last few days. It is a lengthy process, as we are committed to making the very best decision for the future of our school and our community. We will share a further update with you all after the half-term break.

Now, for the important part: I wish you all a wonderful half-term break! Please take this time to enjoy spending time with your friends and family, and most importantly, have some time to rest and re-charge.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back, refreshed and ready for a new half-term, on Monday 03 November.
