It's been lovely to see everyone back and refreshed after the half-term break! I sincerely hope you all had a good chance to rest and connect with family and friends. We kicked off this week by diving into our value for this half-term: kindness. The children have been fantastic, discussing how we can show kindness and compassion to one another. It's a powerful lesson to remember that kindness costs nothing but can mean so much.

I'm thrilled to share some positive news regarding the appointment of Alan Robinson as our new Headteacher. Although he officially starts in December, Mr. Robinson has already begun working closely with me on the handover. He's been coming into school to learn more about Jupiter, its wonderful community, dedicated staff, and brilliant pupils. I am genuinely excited to be working with him and will be based here at Jupiter alongside him until the end of this term. After that, I will continue to support the school into the spring term in my capacity as Primary Director and will remain a continual part of Jupiter’s day-to-day life.

A huge thank you to our Head and Deputy Head pupils who have done a truly exceptional job selling the poppies and Armistice merchandise this week. They've shown great dedication and have raised a significant amount of money for a very worthwhile cause.

Next week, we'll be marking Remembrance Day at school with assemblies focused on its importance and a two-minute silence on Tuesday.

It's also the start of National Anti-Bullying Week, with this year's theme being 'Power for good'. We'll kick this off on Monday with Odd Sock Day! We encourage all pupils to come in wearing odd socks to celebrate our individualities and differences—something we should all be proud of. We're very much looking forward to a fantastic week of learning and reflection.

Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday.
