Friday 02 October 2026
It has been a wonderful week at school, and it has been fantastic to see so many parents back in our building, working in partnership with us to support and celebrate our children. Your involvement makes a massive difference.
Working in Partnership:
It was great to have so many of you join the Year 5 & 6 CLIC sessions on Monday, we hope you enjoyed them (and well done to the teachers for adapting to the lack of internet!) It was so heartwarming to watch our oldest and youngest students sharing their new friendships in our Reception & Year 6 Buddy Assemblies and we were delighted to welcome Hedgehog's Class parents into the dining hall to share a lunchtime experience with the children.
We are always looking to further develop our strong partnerships and a great opportunity to do this is through our Parent Forum. If you would like to help shape our school community, do come along. The next meetings are on the following dates: Our upcoming meeting dates are:
•13 October 2026, 14:00
• 12 November 2026, 09:00
Our 'Jupiter Choices'
In our whole-school assembly this week, we revisited our Jupiter Choices framework. This is a practical set of tools that aim to give the children skills to help them resolve smaller, everyday problems independently. It has been wonderful to see the children applying these skills in the playground and around the school. Please see the attached information for further details on how you can reinforce these positive choices and tools at home.
Harvest Festival & Year 5 Assembly
Next week is our annual Harvest Collection. We welcome donations to support our local community - please refer to the letter sent out yesterday for specific item requests and drop-off points. We are also very much looking forward to our Year 5 Harvest Assembly on Friday 9th October at 9:15. All Year 5 parents and carers are warmly invited to attend.
Parking
Please remember to park carefully outside the school at the start and end of each day to help keep everyone safe. Also, please be mindful of our wonderful neighbours and do not block drives and entrances.
Finally, another sad farewell today as we say goodbye to Mrs Sutherland who leaves our school today after being part of our team for many years. We are very sad to see her go but Mrs Sutherland is leaving to pursue a new challenge outside of education. We will really miss her and I am sure you would want to join me in saying a huge thank you as we say goodbye.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. Have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Warm regards,
