Hey guys! No Study Island this week! You have one assignment you will find in Google Classroom.
What you are doing this week is a test. You will tell me whether you think NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) or in-class learning is more beneficial to you with supporting evidence and reasoning. I have made a recording that will walk you through how to do it.
When you are done, turn it in and I will give you credit.

Hey angels! I can't believe you guys are almost sophomores! Where has the time gone?! This week you have a SUPER important assignment. This WILL be a Mastery Grade. If you haven't been doing work so far, you may want to start.
Ok, so last week you completed a CFA telling me whether you think NTI or in-class learning is more beneficial to students. This weeks assignment is a continuation of that. Read/complete the attached documents in this order:
1. Final Writing Assignment for the Year
2. Argument Essay Example
3. Rough Draft Graphic Organizer
You will only turn in the "Rough Draft Graphic Organizer." If you have any questions, please text or call me at
502-974-7031. *I will give extra credit to those of you who complete this before Thursday May 14.*
African American Literature (4th, 5th, and 6th Periods):
Hello, everyone! This week there are no new assignments. There are SO many of you who have not completed work waaaaaay back from week one. If that is you, congratulations! I am giving you this week to catch up so you can finish strong when NTI finishes on May 27. As always, let me know what I can do to assist you. If you need me you can text me at 502-974-7031. Thanks!
Work for this week will be uploaded by May 17, 2020.
Welcome to week 7 of NTI! I miss you all very much and hope you are healthy and safe!
9th Grade English (1st and 7th Periods):
Hello everyone! I hope you are healthy and safe.
For this week, you will be transferring the information you put into your graphic organizer last week into full and complete paragraphs. You will do this in the Google Doc that I provide for you. In total you should have 5 paragraphs.
I have attached the following additional documents:
-Essay Format
-Argument Essay Example
-A link to a website that has a ton of transition words
-A screencastify video of me explaining how to format your essay after you have transferred the work from last week's graphic organizer
This is a 100 Point Mastery Grade.
As always, if you have any questions feel free to call or text me at 502-974-7031.
Also: I will be contacting whoever you live with if you have a failing grade. Know that if you fail, it's because you were failing BEFORE in-school instruction ended on March 13th. If you've been doing your work weekly, you should be fine.
Thanks,
Miss Young
African American Literature (4th, 5th, and 6th Periods):
Hello everyone! I hope that you are healthy and safe!
This week, you are to complete the Teacher Evaluation Form that I have attached in Google Classroom. Think about all that you learned and experienced in my classroom while taking the course. Fill out the form and then complete the questions at the bottom. Completing the questions at the bottom is most important. I'll give you a participation grade which will/should help boost your grade up a little bit.
As always, if you have any questions feel free to call or text me at 502-974-7031.
Thanks,
Miss Young
