Welcome to week 1 of Non-Traditional Instruction for Geometry! We are learning math differently than how we started the year but I know you are up for the task! I am going to highlight how we are going to "have class":
1) Open the "Week 1" assignment in your google classroom and carefully read over everything. You will see a mix of problems, embedded videos, and a refresher of parallel/perpendicular lines.
2) Try it on your own! You may complete your work on your own sheet of paper, printing out the document (if available), using Google Docs, or whatever tool you have available to you. Let's be flexible in how we produce our work.
3) What do I do when I'm stuck? Well, did you ask your team? That's right, I am expecting you to collaborate with your fellow Geometry friends. Call them, FaceTime them, text them...I know you miss talking about math :). Ask questions about how to find the slope of the line, this should be Algebra I review!
4) Ok, I asked my friends, but we had a lapse in memory - can we ask Mr. Brockman? Of course! My contact information is above. I'd love to hear from you!
5) Finally, you have to submit your work...but wait, not yet! I have to provide you feedback and you have to check your solutions. This is how you will earn your engagement grade for week 1. Let's submit on Friday...maybe Saturday...maybe Sunday, who knows?
Complete the reflection for the Week 1 assignment (slope).
Then start working on the Week 2 assignment (distance and midpoint). There will be a reflection activity for this assignment as well.
Weekly Directions:
Complete the DESMOS activity here. Then, turn in the assignment in the Google Classroom to receive credit.
